The information that you provide to us will be used for the specific purpose of fulfilling the request/application you are completing and any subsequent administration required as part of that process. It may also be used for management information and statistics to assess the service and measure future provisions.

All of your information is processed in accordance with any applicable data protection legislation and regulations.

Apply online for a birth, death, marriage or civil partnership certificate

(For events that took place in Gloucestershire)

A full birth, marriage/civil partnership or death certificates for £11.00 will bedispatched within 7 calendar days.  Certificates will be sent via Royal Mail 2nd class delivery service. Please note Cheques should be made payable to Gloucestershire County Council

An express copy of any certificate for £35.00 will be dispatched within 24 working hours of receipt. Certificates will be sent via Royal Mail 1st Class Delivery service which aims to deliver on the next working day (including Saturdays). Please note this service is not available at the weekend or on bank holidays). No Cheque payments are acceptable for the Express Service.

All certificates must be paid for before we issue them. Gloucestershire Registration Service is not liable for any certificates that are delayed or lost in the post.

All certificates may be collected in person from Gloucestershire Registration Service based within Gloucestershire Heritage Hub, Clarence Row, Alvin Street, Gloucester GL1 3DW.
